Even though we were the only guests, the friendly owner made us feel very welcome. As we were the only guests, we had agreed with the hotel not to have the kitchen staff make us dinner, but we could nevertheless enjoy cold drinks, some snacks and the breakfast buffet was there in full. You'll be staying here in the middle of the jungle, so expect lots of sounds from the forest, some bugs outside the accomodation (all windows have very good insect screens), etc., but in return you're able to see all the wildlife, swim in the creek below the hotel, etc. It also allows you to head out to Cape Tribulation, etc. before the tourgroups from Cairns arrive and this allowed us to see two cassowaries!

Staying right in the rainforest was amazing. Everything was green and lush. We saw a few critters during our walks around the property and drives around the area. The natural surroundings at this resort, which include a river and swimming hole, were really fabulous. The room was very spacious. A simple complementary breakfast was provided and was a great start to the day. The restaurant is open air, with a casual atmosphere and a beautiful place to dine. The location is also good, as long as you have a car or don't mind getting transfers and going on prearranged tours. There's a lot to see in the area.

Set in a beautiful setting in the Daintree Rainforest. The cabins are very inviting & tailored to the climate. All cabins have bathroom facilities, no TV reception, but dvd players provided & dvds to borrow. Upon arrival & check in, you are given a torch & umbrella in a gorgeous bag to use while staying at the property due to no lights at night along paths to main lodge & after all it's a Rainforest. The main lodge is lovely for breakfast, dinner & cocktails. Open to the air & looking out at the beautiful daintree forest surroundings. The owner is a lovely lady & is always up for chat.

Joanne

Loved the location, the fact that it was surrounded by rainforest and was truly away from it all, and yet didn't take too long to get to places of interest (by car) in the region. The room was very spacious. The bread at breakfast was delicious, as was the fresh fruit salad. We enjoyed the dinners we had (and the happy hours). We loved that we could swim in the creek, where we spotted fish and turtles. The sound of the dawn chorus was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. No TV, and internet only at the restaurant bar area.

Elaine

A true tropical north experience.. no WiFi, ( only in resturant) but I was ok with that, set in the most beautiful rainforest, thick and lush and the creek swimming was the icing on my cake..I was so in love with the crystal clear creek. I was in heaven. Free breaky to start the day was fantastic too.. rooms were great, your not really in them too much, more to just sleep as there is so much to see up in Cape Tribulation but was really impressed at how they blend into the forest seamlessly.
